Brenntag again delivers strong results and cash flow in the 3rd quarter of 2011 and confirms full-year guidance

Brenntag (WKN A1DAHH), the global market leader in chemical distribution, reported strong results in the third quarter of 2011. Sales increased by 13.6% based on constant exchange rates (9.7% as reported) to EUR 2,218.0 million (Q3 2010: EUR 2,022.6 million).

Brenntag UK & Ireland Achieves Carbon Trust Standard

The UK & Ireland’s leading chemical distributor cuts carbon emissions by over 4%, achieving the Carbon Trust Standard across all UK and Ireland operations and subsidiaries. The Carbon Trust assessed and certified Brenntag’s carbon footprint between January 2008 and December 2010 across 19 sites across the UK and one site in Dublin, Ireland. Brenntag achieved a reduction of over 4% in absolute terms from its carbon footprint. The certified reduction reinforces Brenntag’s aim to undertake its activities in as safe and sustainable a manner as possible.
